The heart of the venue is The Hurly Burly branded coach, which has been converted into a fully equipped commercial kitchen. A large marquee, built to a unique design, forms a gigantic awning from the side of the coach and we have tables and chairs for 64 people.
The coach is equipped with a bank of solar panels, which can generate 3kw of energy, enough to power the marquee lighting rig, P.A. system and kitchen electrics.
The Hurly Burly is almost entirely constructed from reclaimed and recycled materials, and is the proud winner of the Greenpeace Gold Award, for commitment to sustainability and environmental best practice.
The Hurly Burly travels to UK arts and music festivals with a solar powered venue, equipped with a stage, lighting, P.A. and cinema.
Our usual homes are the Circus Field at Glastonbury Festival, Wilderness, Secret Garden Party, Greenman, Shambala, Latitude, Camp Bestival, Bestival and Electric Picnic amongst others.
We provide entertainment, spectacle, sparkle and performance for all with our transcendent dance, comedy laughs, theatre of the absurd and magical treats. All backed by a life affirming eclectic soundtrack of gypsy jazz, electric funk, Detroit soul, West African rhythms, swampy blues and the best of indie, pop and repetitive beats.
We have teamed up with a brilliant array of performers including some from the Institute of the Arts Barcelona, record labels and their artists including the excellent Smugglers Records, and new and exciting creative productions such as the brilliant 'rave' new comer, Big Fish Little Fish, all to add even more energy and colour to The Hurly Burly experience.
At the Hurly Burly, we are always happy to host your programmed acts and events on our own marquee stage and can provide technical support if required.
We serve creative, fresh and wonderfully vibrant food locally sourced but with a worldly compass of flavours and influences. Our secret is to source the best ingredients and produce we can find while supporting small and local businesses who can listen and respond to our needs.
We offer a largely vegetarian menu alongside carefully and ethically sourced meat, with much of it coming from small local farms in the New Forest. Pondhead Farm, who supply our pork, allow their pigs to truffle around free in the forest eating acorns. Our chef's Michelin star background guarantees delicious food and the highest standards.
Being kind to our planet should be important to all but is an issue at the core of our ethos. We take seriously our responsibility to the environment by keeping all waste to a minimum. All our paper plates, cups and disposable cutlery are made from recycled material and are fully bio-degradable.

We offer various service styles from full table service, served buffet, self-service buffet, to family style dining or standing hand held. We have a knowledgeable and personable management and serving team, many of whom come from fine dining backgrounds. Attention to each and every detail is our defining principle.
